Absolutely Together
We believe leisure should be for every member of the family, not just those without additional needs. That’s why we created the Thousands of Smiles Programme, an innovative initiative tackling financial hardship, social isolation and accessibility barriers for families with children and young people with additional needs.
Our aim? To make every family member smile by providing free access to inclusive leisure experiences in areas where we have venues – Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Bristol.
Launched in 2022 by giving free access to our own leisure facilities, we expanded in 2024 in response to the escalating cost-of-living crisis and rising social isolation among our beneficiary families.
Through partnerships and grant funding, we worked with a diverse range of external venues. Between June 2024 and May 2025, we provided free life-enhancing leisure activities to over 770 families.
Our unique approach ensures families come together, not just as carers and dependants, but as equals in fun, inclusion and memory-making.
