Electrical Safety First

We decided at short notice to tap into the buzz being generated by the hugely popular BBC contest The Traitors by reimagining dangerous household gadgets in the iconic Traitors cloak using AI image generation, with a call to action on the public to spot and 'banish' substandard gadgets from their home.

Our objective was to raise awareness about how electrical products can often be deceptively and unexpectedly dangerous, and this tied in nicely with reframing the TV show’s idea of a “traitor” as being something far more real – namely unsafe appliances in your home in plain sight.

We aimed to drive engagement, spark conversation, and shift perceptions around everyday electrical products through a bold social media campaign which would introduce us to a completely new audience for our work – viewers of the TV show.
