The Fatal Question
StreetDoctors
At the heart of the campaign is a powerful film capturing young people taking part in an immersive activity using a life‑sized human sculpture. Participants are asked “where is a safe place to stab?”, before being shown real cases where young people lost their lives. This creates an immediate emotional impact, grounding the message in lived experience and prompting deep personal reflection. While StreetDoctors’ first aid training already addresses this question, the film significantly amplifies its reach across social media, cinema, national news and youth training settings.
The film was developed with a trauma‑informed approach that avoids blame, respects families affected by violence and reinforces StreetDoctors’ mission to empower young people as part of the solution. The campaign has since reached thousands through schools, youth centres and community programmes, increasing social engagement and achieving over 21.5 million impressions. It has strengthened national partnerships, shaped StreetDoctors’ 2026–2028 strategy, and shifted online search behaviour; making StreetDoctors the top result for “where is a safe place to stab someone”, providing vital space for reflection.
