Teach First and Citi: a transformational partnership

Citi have been Teach First’s largest, most transformational corporate partner since the charity launched in 2002. Over the last twenty years, they have played a fundamental role in shaping Teach First into a sector-leading charity tackling educational inequality. By donating a staggering £7.1 million since the partnership began, Citi’s support has enabled Teach First to train over 1,700 great teachers and place them in schools where they are needed most. Ultimately, driving forward real change within the education sector and having a positive impact on over 220,000 pupils across the country.

In 2022, Teach First were privileged to work alongside Citi for the tenth anniversary of their impactful ‘e for education’ campaign, through which Citi donated an incredible £788,769 to our work, as well as engaging 142 pupils in a range of careers-focused activities. Citi also joined us once again as the headline sponsor for Teach First’s flagship fundraising event, Run the River, in September 2022, helping Teach First to host our first ever hybrid event to raise vital funds to tackle educational inequality.
