Delight is a leading arts-based learning charity with a vision for every child to have an equitable opportunity to thrive during their school years and beyond. Over the past 10 years, and in collaboration with a team of exceptional arts partners, we have developed a range of immersive and joyful arts-based learning programmes that have been shown to positively impact children’s creative skills, social and emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, confidence, and learning engagement. Our programmes are designed to ensure that all children, regardless of background or ability, can participate fully, feel supported and experience the joy of the arts. We work with schools whose cohorts experience high levels of deprivation to address the challenges that children from disadvantaged backgrounds face. Parents and carers are invited to share in the magic their children have experienced, helping to build positive relationships between home and school. Our robust evaluation demonstrates Delight’s success in helping children affected by disadvantage and/or with special educational needs and disabilities reach their potential. “We see our children with SEND thrive when they participate in Delight programmes.
