Support and Co-creation Team

The Brain Tumour Charity

We’re different. We’re all changemakers, with every team member stepping outside of their comfort zone to lead and create better services. Our community is integral to the strategy, design and delivery of our services. Our involvement, peer support, volunteering and collaborations sustain our high growth and rapid innovation. We find the gaps and fill them together.

This year we launched counselling and significantly helped over 250 people; co-created the strategy for the whole charity with the community; grew support groups 16% to 28k members; helped 8% more individuals in 12,000 ways; relaunched our website helping nearly 1 million support seekers; grew podcasts to 41 episodes; developed a digital support planning tool; helped 825 people say what must change in our Improving Brain Tumour Care surveys, and trained 4,358 professionals to help diagnose brain tumours. Our team is 43 volunteers, 20 staff, 28,169 online support group members, 45 champions and over 1000 others in our involvement network. They all work together to discover our community’s unmet needs, improve care with healthcare teams, and deliver support through a service offer including triage assessments, support line, counselling, money and benefits clinic, online support groups and events, podcasts, website support and our BRIAN app.
