Over the past year, we’ve partnered with charity Hospice UK on major national campaigns; Hospice Care Week and This is Hospice Care. We championed the often-overlooked hospice sector, sparked discussions about the value of hospice care, called for urgent funding, and drove individual and governmental action.
Hospice Care Week focused on the importance of retail income to hospices, which surpassed government income for the first time. This is Hospice Care highlighted the importance of legacy giving for hospices.
We reached 2.4billion people across 689+ media hits and secured a response from the Department for Health and Social Care. 2 months after our call for funding, government pledged £126million to the sector.
By highlighting the urgent need to champion and fund the hospice sector, grounding our campaigns in grassroots stories and positioning Hospice UK as the sector's definitive voice, we created sustainable momentum for a service that supports people during life’s toughest moments. It’s been our privilege to help tell their story and amplify their impact.
