Royal British Veterans Enterprise

Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE) has supported people for more than 100 years. Our mission is to create jobs, provide homes and build communities that empower veterans and people with disabilities to thrive in life. RBVE’s model is simple but powerful: when someone has a stable home, a good job and a supportive community, they can rebuild independence and move forward with confidence. This approach has shaped our work for more than a century and continues to transform lives every day.

Our social enterprises are national leaders in inclusive employment. More than 70% of our factory workforce are people who are veterans and/or have a disability, producing over 160,000 signs each year for organisations across the UK. This work generated £2.4 million in verified social value through disability employment this year alone.

More than 300 people live in the RBVE Village — a multigenerational veteran community with emergency accommodation, adapted homes, family housing and supported living. The Village includes a gym, IT learning suite, cafés and green spaces, and is closely linked to our employment pathways and Lifeworks courses.

This year, Lifeworks supported over 1,000 veterans and families, with 80% moving into work, training or volunteering. Public support also grew significantly, with more than 17,000 people taking part in the Great Tommy Sleep Out — the highest number in the campaign’s history.

RBVE turns possibility into progress for veterans every single day.
