Park Yoga

Park Yoga delivers free community yoga sessions in nature every Sunday morning from May to September, improving physical health, mental wellbeing and social connection. Founded in 2017 in two Dorset parks, Park Yoga now operates across 74 UK venues, including its first Scottish location in 2026, representing 35% growth since 2025. Weekly attendance has increased by 49% year-on-year, with an average of 6,189 people attending sessions each week.

Our impact is significant: 90% of participants report feeling happier after sessions, 74% increase their physical activity, and 68% feel more connected to their community. Park Yoga is intentionally inclusive and accessible, attracting many people who would not traditionally engage in fitness activities. In 2025, 31% of participants were new to yoga and 21% reported a disability or long-term health condition.

To further widen access, we launched targeted outreach work for underserved communities, to promote Park Yoga to some of the least active communities in the country.

Financial sustainability has also strengthened. In 2025, Park Yoga secured its first title sponsor, Yogi Tea, supporting long-term growth while helping keep sessions free. Income increased by 73% year-on-year, alongside growth in individual giving.

Despite operating with only 1.5 full-time equivalent staff, supported by trustees, instructors and volunteers, Park Yoga is becoming an important part of the solution to the UK’s growing physical and mental health crisis through free, welcoming wellbeing activity in nature.
