Nature needs looking after, now more than ever. Polluted rivers, heatwaves and shrinking green spaces affect all of us – right now and right in the heart of our communities. Which is why communities hold the key to protecting nature.

This is the founding principle of Nature Neighbourhoods, a new initiative by RSPB, WWF and National Trust and funded by the Co-op and National Lottery Community Fund. It's designed to support community groups across the UK to create people-powered plans for nature in their local areas. And such a brilliant project deserves brilliant branding.

Lark was asked to create a warm, inspiring new visual identity for Nature Neighbourhoods, one that celebrates people coming together to make their communities greener. We had to create a brand from scratch, which all of the organisations involved loved. Tough brief, but it couldn't have been smoother!

After creating the new visual brand guidelines, we gave it wings. Lark has brought the branding to life through a series of videos introducing Nature Neighbourhoods and some of many incredible organisations involved across the UK (the launch video alone reached 2 million people).
