Nanny Biscuit is a charitable arm of Cafgas CIC that was set up to help local people build a brighter future by inspiring and engaging the community. Its aim was to promote and inspire good mental and physical health, and reduce loneliness and isolation. When the impact of Covid-19 was first realised, the core team of Nanny Biscuit volunteers reached out to its own community to help them support the most vulnerable. They had to quickly adapt to the practical challenges of the pandemic, adhering to guidelines and seeking official guidance on things that included hygiene protocols and safe-guarding procedures. They channelled their efforts into providing emergency shopping, subsidised food parcels, 36,000 free meals were delivered to the vulnerable and homeless, socially distanced entertainment outside of care homes penpal service for elderly 1450xmas meals for homeless and vulnerable we have had 4 case studies taken including WCVA and the welsh government organised a national event a grand week in Wales aimed to engage and inspire people whilst in lock down which was endorsed by celebrities and welsh athletes and a Paralympic bronze medal winner
