Multiplying Charitable Impact

Stewardship UKET

In a year of profound organisational transformation, Stewardship’s finance team demonstrated resilience, innovation, and excellence. Amid a complete leadership transition—where the CFO became CEO, the Head of Finance stepped up as CFO, and a new Head of Finance was recruited—the team continued to deliver exceptional results while supporting the wider organisation’s strategic evolution.

Key achievements included implementing a new discretionary bonus scheme, increasing salaries, and improving recruitment. Strategic investments in organisational development, combined with proactive cash management, ensured financial stability in a volatile market. The team closed the year in a strong surplus position.

Despite being a small team of seven, they managed over £210 million in assets, processed nearly £110 million in gifts, and facilitated £106 million in grants out. They helped to facilitate exciting new investment options for our Philanthropy Fund and DAF donors and managed loan book growth of 20% to £34m, delivering creative lending solutions to support ministry growth.

Led by CFOO Felicity Griffiths and Head of Finance Francis Lei, the team consistently lived Stewardship’s values of generosity, relationship, integrity, and excellence. Their dedication, skill, and collaborative spirit have had a tangible global impact, advancing our mission and enabling others to live and give generously.
