Since joining Migrant Help in 2019, Mirjam has established the Quality team and developed it from a one-person department to one where her colleagues feel valued, empowered to explore new ideas and feel like a key part of the charity.

She has established measurable and improvable metrics to showcase the impact of Migrant Help’s work and built up the charity’s accreditations, while championing co-production to ensure that client voice is embedded into all her work.

While policies, their application and review can often be seen as a dry subject amongst the pressures of delivering frontline services, Mirjam’s hard work ensured that Migrant Help has often been commended as an example of best practice and a culture of excellence.

Mirjam always has quality and consistency in mind and is a trusted adviser to the charity’s staff, senior leadership, trustees and commissioners alike.
