Michelle Hill

In 2017 Michelle became CEO of TLC. Michelle was completely invested in creating the charity which supports safe, healthy and happy relationships through counselling, wellbeing programmes and domestic abuse services. During that time and ever since, she’s had the unfaltering support of her staff and board thanks to her values-led approach, her expertise and dedication, and her infectious positivity.

Michelle has transformed TLC from a small local charity into a national charity with an income of over £4m. She’s extremely proud of its Manchester roots, but we now deliver services from Northumbria to Bedfordshire reaching more people and communities than ever before. Last year, we received 2300+ referrals for our adult domestic abuse services – a 10% increase.

Thanks to Michelle’s entrepreneurship and ambition, Now You’re Talking, a commercial counselling and therapy subsidiary - profits from which will be reinvested into TLC’s free counselling services - went live this May.

Generous with her time, Michelle maintains a culture at TLC where everyone feels individually valued and proud to bring their whole selves to work. She is trailblazing but also humble and approachable.

Michelle is an amazing driving force, making TLC and the wider community a more inclusive and better place.
