Little Hearts

Muntada Aid

Muntada Aid’s "Little Hearts" project is a flagship humanitarian programme dedicated to tackling one of the most urgent global child health crises: congenital heart defects (CHD). Every year, over a million children are born with CHD, with tens of thousands in low-income countries left untreated due to a lack of access to specialist care. Little Hearts exists to bridge this critical healthcare gap by providing free life-saving heart surgeries and cardiac interventions to children in underserved regions around the world.

Launched in 2012, the project is built on the core belief that every child deserves a chance at life, regardless of their geography, race, religion, or socio-economic background. Over the past decade, Muntada Aid has delivered 50 cardiac missions across 14 countries, providing over 3,000 surgeries. The project’s remarkable impact is made possible by a powerful model of international collaboration, volunteerism, and sustainable healthcare development.
