Lindsay Boswell CBE FCIOF

FareShare UK

Lindsay Boswell CBE, CEO FareShare, has driven the organisation’s growth in response to this huge demand. Since he joined in 2010, FareShare has gone from working with 600 charities and providing enough food for 36 million meals a year to 8,500 charities (1,316% increase), providing 128 million meals a year (255% increase) – that’s enough to feed every single person in Mexico.

Lindsay has developed long lasting relationships with companies right across the food industry and ensured that FareShare was equipped to support charities during the pandemic and cost of living crisis, with unprecedented calls for food. Lindsay has also fought tirelessly to ensure that the social value of the food is also recognised, and the importance of the many additional services provided by frontline charities. This is where the ‘multiplier effect’ comes in, a phrase coined by Lindsay to communicate the wider benefit of getting food to vulnerable communities. Lindsay is a remarkable CEO. He leaves the charity in 2023 in a significantly more effective, efficient, well known and financially more sustainable position than when he joined in 2010.
