Kris Healey

Spadework

Kris's journey with Spadework began at the age of six when he first visited the charity with his grandparents. From that moment, a profound connection was forged, igniting a lifelong passion. Kris's education, career choices, and personal experiences were all driven by the desire to lead Spadework and create a lasting impact on the lives of those it serves.

Kris joined the Spadework team in 2017, assuming the role of CEO. During Kris's tenure, Spadework has experienced unprecedented growth and development. The charity's income has skyrocketed by over a million pounds in six years, a testament to Kris's strategic vision and diligent efforts. Under his leadership, Spadework undertook a remarkable £1.5 million whole site redevelopment project, resulting in the creation of state-of-the-art facilities meticulously designed to enhance the provision of care. Not content with just providing care, support, and meaningful opportunities for adults with learning&other disabilities, Kris recognised the pressing need to extend Spadework's services to adults living with dementia and those experiencing problems with their mental health. With his unwavering belief in the organisation's potential, Kris spearheaded the creation, implementation, and expansion of specialised programs tailored to these individuals, enabling them to lead more fulfilling lives.
