Josh Ennis

Centrepoint

Over the past decade, Josh has been on a remarkable transformational journey with Centrepoint: first supported by the charity, then volunteering for six years, and now shaping two roles created in recognition of his impact. Driven by a desire to give back, he has already made a direct difference to thousands of young people experiencing homelessness and pioneered initiatives that will continue to create impact for years to come.

Since becoming Centrepoint’s first-ever Fundraising Apprentice in 2023, Josh has balanced full-time study with delivering major projects, securing support from high-profile partners including cardfactory Foundation, and amplifying young people’s voices through the youth-led Point Made podcast. His flagship achievement, the Christmas gift drive, has enabled almost 3,000 young people across 70 services nationwide to feel remembered and cared for at an isolating time of year. The project reflects his leadership, innovation and determination to ensure support is inclusive, young-person-centred and, ultimately, meaningful.

In 2025, despite experiencing serious health issues, Josh returned to complete his apprenticeship with flying colours, co-host Centrepoint’s Managers’ Conference, secure a promotion to Gifts In Kind Officer, and lead the charity’s most successful gift drive yet.

Josh’s journey demonstrates exceptional resilience and reflects his unwavering commitment to young people. His trailblazing work has already created transformational impact for thousands of young people and, crucially, has laid the foundations to support thousands more. That’s why Josh is our Rising Star.
