James Toop, Chief Executive of Bite Back 2030, has been a visionary charity leader since the creation of the organisation in 2019. In just a few short years, James has used his skills to grow Bite Back and establish its youth-led model as a powerful force for health campaigning. In particular, James has developed a strong network of supporters, funders and partners who believe in this youth-led model - a network which has enabled Bite Back to secure real change for the benefit of child health, from enhanced school food provision to legislation on junk food marketing.
Even with this rapid growth and change, James has remained true to his values, supporting colleagues and creating an environment where all staff, young people and partners feel respected, valued and creatively engaged. Having built a strong management team at Bite Back, he is overseeing continued expansion, with new Regional Youth Boards forming a key part of a growing youth movement across the country.
