Islamic Relief UK
Founded in 1984, Islamic Relief UK exists to support millions of rightsholders across the world including in the UK, with a mixture of sustainable development and emergency aid.
Islamic Relief UK’s objectives are to raise funds, transform lives in the UK through our incredible UK Programmes, use advocacy to influence key audiences and the media, and create a brilliant organisational culture. We achieve these objectives by staying close to our community – but never being afraid of new challenges and opportunities.
Almost 25% of Islamic Relief’s global income for 2025 came from the UK, and we played a significant part in Islamic Relief’s huge global achievement of touching 14.5 million lives in 38 countries in 2024. We are the UK’s biggest Muslim charity, leading the way and being an institution of pride for our community. At home we have touched thousands of live through our UK Programmes, and we are hugely proud of the delivery we are overseeing right here in the UK.
To deliver we have overcome significant challenges, not least Islamophobia. In the face of challenges it can be easy to lose hope, but our ongoing success is testament to our staff and volunteer’s refusal to do so. Islamic Relief UK is a shining beacon of hope for the British Muslim community – and that will be the case for decades to come. As staff and volunteers we are absolutely committed to ensuring that.
