Income Generation Team

In 2025/26, Rotherham Hospice’s Income Generation Team transformed community support into care for local people facing terminal illness. Total funds raised reached £4.94m, an increase of 11.0%, while fundraising income grew by 31.2%. Retail and café income grew by 93.3%, helping diversify income and strengthen long-term sustainability.

The team welcomed 4,303 new cash supporters, 72 new regular givers, 579 new lottery players, 34 new legacy pledgers or notifications, and 5,221 new event participants and attendees. Public reach grew from 2.55m to 23.5m.

A standout example was Winter Wonder Garden, which began as a small, unplanned idea and became a major community moment, raising almost £80,000 and bringing more than 2,500 people through the Hospice gardens. It generated income, awareness and connection, helping local people see the Hospice as a place of life, warmth and community.
