We believe everyone deserves access to life’s essentials and that no usable product should go to waste. Our work to distribute essential products to where they are most needed, including household supplies, personal hygiene, period products, toilet roll and nappies, was brought into sharp focus when the pandemic hit in Spring 2020. Almost immediately, our network found themselves on the front-line supporting vulnerable people in the community including isolated individuals, those shielding, people affected by domestic violence, families and people on low income and those who fell through the cracks in statutory provision. We are proud to have handled over 24k orders for over 8.21m items to 3,300 charitable organisations (22% more than in the previous year) between May 2020 and April 2021, worth over £28.8m in value. This represented savings to the charity sector of over £26.2m, 66% more than in the previous year. The number of people we helped each week increased from 215,000 to 249,000 per week. We continue to provide life's essentials every day.
