Hospices support people in their dying days, caring for people at the most vulnerable time of their lives, and supporting their loved ones. But they’re struggling with rising costs and stagnating funding. Many are running dangerously close to the margin, with many forced to make cuts.

Hospice UK is the national champion for hospices. We fight to ensure hospices are there for everyone, from every background, to ensure hospices can deliver the best, most personalised care, and to ensure hospices thrive – today and into the future.

Founded in 1984, we employ 81 people and represent the UK’s 200+ hospices. They do everything they can for children and adults living with long-term illness, or approaching the end of their lives. So we do everything we can to support hospices’ invaluable work.

In the last 12 months we believe we’ve been truly exceptional in how we have supported and spoken up for the sector. Our tireless campaigning secured £100m emergency funding for hospices, at a time when so few other parts of the charity sector have been able to secure support, all whilst we’ve grown the support we offer members, run a groundbreaking legacy campaign, secured high-value partnerships, and surpassed KPIs.
