Give An X
My Life My Say
Heading into the 2024 General Election, over 30% of 18-25 year olds were not registered to vote. Give An X sought to change that. By bringing politics to the spaces where young people already are, the Give An X campaign mobilised young people to register to vote, take up space and make their voices heard. Working with over 300 partners, the campaign reached 4 million young people (over 70% of all 18-24 year olds in the UK) and directly registered 488,846 young people to vote. The campaign encouraged influencers to use their voice to promote democratic engagement, with celebrities such as Ellie Goulding, Sir Lewis Hamilton, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Michael Sheen, Leigh-Ann Pinnock and many more backing the campaign. By bringing democracy to the cultural and digital spaces where young people are, through major partnerships with brands such as Snapchat, Tinder, Lime and Ben and Jerrys, Give An X redefined voter registration efforts. The campaign stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, and proves that when you take young people seriously and give them the chance to make their voices heard- they really do Give An X.
