From the Moment 2024

From That Moment 2024, is a campaign film by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice that features the story of Elaine and her daughter Willow. Through both poem and interview, the film charts the journey from the moment Elaine found our she was pregnant, to Willow’s birth, to diagnosis, to present day. The film explores Elaine coming to terms with Willow’s diagnosis and limitations to a change of focus to what she can achieve and the possibilities that are open to her, thanks to the support from Noah’s Ark. We employed mixed media, such as a baby scan of Willow and photos and videos from different stages of her life, to breathe life into the subject matter and create a more intimate connection between the family and the viewer. The film takes the viewer on the same emotional journey as Elaine, zooming in on both moments that will feel familiar to many watching, such as the joy of finding out she’s having a baby, to the moment all parent hope never happens to them. The film ends up on an uplifting and empowering tone, but whilst doing so still makes space for the uncertainty that Elaine will feel about Willow's future.
