In May 2024, we were selected by Baillie Gifford employees as their Charity of the Year. For our small charity, this meant more than fundraising. We gained transformative specialist skills and support that helped us grow stronger, work smarter and reach further.
Baillie Gifford contributed expertise across their organisation, from AI tools and forecasting models to digital analytics and campaign planning. Their analysts helped us unlock insights from 10 years of Access Survey data, and their creative teams worked with us to refresh and strengthen our public-facing communications.
Fundraising raised over £45,000, and community-led events - including one colleague running up Edinburgh’s Arthur’s Seat 50 times in memory of our Co-Founder, Euan MacDonald - embodied the spirit of our partnership. Volunteers also piloted our new “Review-a-Loo” programme, helping improve accessible toilet safety and awareness.
Baillie Gifford colleagues told us: “This is the first time I’ve used my professional skills to help a charity.” It was a shared experience with lasting impact.
