Dr Ann Limb CBE

Scouts

Ann Limb CBE is an exceptional leader - not just of the Scouts (the UK's largest mixed youth movement) but across the educational and business sectors. Appointed in 2015 as the first ever female Chair of the Scouts in its 100+ year history, she is a tireless champion for young people, social mobility, diversity and inclusion. Now in her final year in the role, her integrity and personal drive are still helping create a stronger, fairer society. She has acted as a powerful role model for volunteers in the movement as a champion of diversity (in both thought and background). She was voted #1 LGBTQ+ public sector role model on the 2019 OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Model Lists. As Chair, she has been a unifying and decisive force, through one of the most turbulent times for the movement, guiding us through a new strategy and brand as well as the huge challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. A shining light for our values of integrity, cooperation, respect, care and belief, she is a true believer that everyone should have an equal chance in life.
