Creative Mentors

The Mighty Creatives’ (TMC) frontline team of Creative Mentors work directly with the most under-represented groups of young people in society, including those who are care-experienced, facing adversity, experiencing challenges or disadvantage.

Working one-to-one with our young beneficiaries, they use the medium of artistic practice to empower young people to discover their sense of self, purpose, belonging, and a world of opportunities.

War, conflict, and poverty have catalysed the ever-changing complexities of our beneficiaries’ circumstances. This year (April 2024-March 2025), our Creative Mentors have responded rapidly to a 35% increase in referrals to our Creative Mentoring service. They have stepped up to support a growing diversity of young people in need, including Separated Children and those referred to the Prevent service. Our ability as a charity to reach the most vulnerable, displaced young people has only been made possible by the unwavering commitment and versatility of our frontline Creative Mentors.

Our Creative Mentors are mighty in everything they do. They are mighty dedicated, mighty role models, and mighty listeners. They become the trusted, mighty adults in our young beneficiaries’ lives. And they empower them to discover their own “mightiness” – and to build the mightiest of futures they deserve.
