Communications Team

WaterAid UK

In March 2025, WaterAid UK’s Communications Team delivered a landmark campaign uniting four high-impact activations to elevate brand awareness, and global influence, making the power of water impossible to ignore. These included the launch of the flagship climate and water report, the activation of the global brand campaign, high level roundtables, and the Water and Climate reception, hosted by His Majesty The King, in support of WaterAid at Buckingham Palace- all ahead of Water Day.

The campaign represented a step-change in global communications connection and strategy for WaterAid. We delivered a unified moment, bringing together multiple opportunities and audiences to deliver greater impact, strengthen our brand reputation, and build momentum for future campaigns. This was the first time WaterAid had implemented a fully integrated multi-market campaign across owned, earned, and paid media, achieving a 35% increase in global media reach.

Our key achievements:

89 million UK brand impressions (up 287% YoY)

10 percentage-point increase in climate change brand association

73% campaign attribution to WaterAid UK

The team also laid foundations for future impact, engaging youth climate activists, securing donated media space, and generating momentum toward COP30. The campaign demonstrated outstanding collaboration and strategic impact—setting a new benchmark for WaterAid’s communications.
