Carlie Baker

Since joining Certitude in 2021 as a Life enabler, Carlie has become a shining example of what great support looks like. Not only is her positive attitude infectious, but she is also loved by the people she supports, and her dedication is appreciated by family members, and colleagues too.

Asked what keeps her motivated Carlie says, “I just love my job, I wake up and I’m actually happy to come to work.”

Manager Joanne said Carlie is extremely kind, enthusiastic and dedicated in her work. “It’s lovely to work alongside someone who genuinely cares. This isn’t just a job for Carlie, she is always thinking about what she can do next to support people to try something new or have fun experiences.”

A visiting colleague recently commented on why Carlie is such a shining star; “If I wanted to show other colleagues how to actively support a group of individuals Carlie would be that great example… She dips in with just the right level of support, so that people have autonomy and control over what they’re doing… even though she was clearly very busy, no one she was supporting felt rushed, they were engaged and were clearly happy.”
