Allkind Mental Health and Wellbeing

What do you do when the brand that shaped your identity for 40 years becomes the thing holding you back? In 2025, that was the question facing West Central London Mind. As NHS landscapes shifted into regional areas, birthing Integrated Care Boards, our affiliation with the Mind federation became a barrier, restricted our geographic reach and prevented us from competing for regional contracts, despite proven capability and a track record to deliver them.

In just eight months, our four-person Communications Team led one of the most complex transformations in the organisation’s history: exiting a national federation while delivering a full rebrand, without losing a single contract or unsettling service users.

Our team placed stakeholder insight at the heart of every decision. Through consultation with 153 staff, service users and partners, a shiny new brand and communications strategy was created, shaped directly by those who really matter.

On 31/3/26, the charity left the Mind Federation to become fully autonomous. The following day, we launched a fresh new identity as ‘Allkind Mental Health and Wellbeing’. This was far more than a name change. It was a communications-led transition designed to protect trust while unlocking the freedom to grow, enabling us to expand our community-based services across London.

Working collaboratively under intense pressure, our team delivered a distinctive brand identity, while maintaining trust and confidence across all audiences. Successfully transitioning away from a nationally recognised brand without disruption, they protected vital relationships, retained all contracts, and created a strong platform for future growth.
