A Meal for a Meal

Since 2015, Dishoom has partnered with Magic Breakfast to ensure no child in the UK starts their school day too hungry to learn. Rooted in our founding principle of seva (selfless service), the partnership is built on a simple yet powerful pledge: for every breakfast served at Dishoom, we give a Magic Breakfast.

This partnership has grown more impactful than ever – with over 4 million meals for young people across the UK. These meals fuel learning, boost attendance, and spark brighter futures. We’ve achieved this, not through rounding up bills or one-off campaigns, but by weaving giving into the very heart of Dishoom transforming everyday dining into meaningful change.

The last year saw deeper team and guest engagement, with in-school volunteering, with our Magic Breakfast takeovers, storytelling campaigns like 20 Million Meals (our total meals donated alongside our second charity partners Akashaya Patra), and joyful school visits for Aspiration Days and Magic Makers.

This is more than charity – it’s solidarity. Through shared meals and shared purpose, our partnership continues to break down barriers, nourish young minds, and quietly change lives – one breakfast at a time.
