Deirdre (Dee) Carswell

I joined Skylarks Charity as Head of Partnerships and Fundraising to help ensure we have the resources to support our community of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities. With over 20 years of experience in the charity, corporate, medical and educational sectors, I develop strategic partnerships and look after all our fundraising needs. As a parent of two wonderful young people with additional needs, I have first-hand experience of the support families need and what Skylarks gives. This makes me especially delighted to be part of such an amazing charity. At Skylarks, my role involves working with our incredible funders, donors, partners, volunteers and organising fundraising events. By collaborating with so many and our passionate team, we secure the necessary funds to continue and expand our vital services to thousands of families nationally. I am inspired every day by the positive impact Skylarks has on so many children and families, and our ever-growing Skylarks community.
