With over a decade's experience in the charity sector specialising in digital and social roles at the British Lung Foundation, Age UK, The British Heart Foundation, RNLI and currently at Cancer Research UK Athar has worked on a huge range of campaigns and social activations and crisis comms challenges. In his current role as Head of Social Media at Cancer Research UK he oversees social for the main CRUK brands as well as Stand Up To Cancer and Race For Life. Athar has always maintained a balance between early adoption and a healthy cynicism that has seen him innovate and establish best practise for social media within the charity sector.
