EarlyBird entry fees valid until Wednesday 14 May, 2020. However entries will be accepted until Thursday 4 June. Take advantage of the early bird rate and save £70/entry by submitting before midnight 6 May. 

Earlybird Entry fees (valid until Thursday 14 May)

Organisation with a turnover under £500K
  • £70 + VAT - first entry
  • £40 + VAT - all subsequent entries
Organisation with a turnover between £500K and £3M
  • £145 + VAT - first entry
  • £115 + VAT - all subsequent entries
Organisations with a turnover over £3M
  • £245 + VAT - first entry
  • £215 + VAT - all subsequent entries

Entries after 14 May will incur an additional late entry fee of £70+VAT per entry

The eligibility period for submissions should related to the period covering 1 May 2019 to 30 May 2020. If your project ran outside these dates, please only discuss the activity that took place between them.

Organisations or individuals may submit entries on behalf of themselves or others and may enter any number of categories. Please note that entries which have been submitted for the Third Sector Awards 2019 cannot be submitted in 2020 unless it can be proved that substantial developments and/or improvements have taken place.

All support material required as part of your entry should be sent via the post. Please be sure to mark which category any material relates to.

Entries will only be accepted from registered UK charities or organisations. Your work and support can be carried out overseas, but you must be registered and based within the UK.

Yes, you can submit more than one entry into the same category or multiple categories. You can also submit the same entry into multiple categories.

Work that began in earlier years is eligible if it came to fruition during this period. Work that has been entered previously can be re-entered as long as the entrant can prove an improvement or change in the entry.

Agencies and consultancies may enter on behalf of the voluntary organisations they work for, provided they have their client’s approval. Please ask clients to email their approval to stephanie.griffiths@haymarket.com

Long-listed entrants into Charity of the Year, Communications Team of the Year and Fundraising Team of the Year will be asked to present at the live judging day following the first round of judging. Live judging will take place on 7 July
Within each category the top 5-6 entries will be invited to a Central London location where a maximum of 3 team members will present their entry to the judges. 
The judging day is designed to give you the opportunity to present your entry to a distinguished panel of judges, giving them the opportunity to ask questions to ensure they fully understand the objectives and impact of your entry. Following the live judging, the shortlist will be announced for each category.

The finalists will be announced Thursday 16 July. All entrants will receive email notification and will be listed on ThirdSector.co.uk and on this website.
