Louise Smith

Director of fundraising & Customer Engagement, Stonewall


Louise has been the Director of Fundraising at Stonewall since April 2016. Louise leads a team responsible for a traditional fundraising mix of community, special event, major, individual, legacy and commercial income, plus innovative, strategic corporate partnerships.
Louise creates different ways to inspire and encourage the public to play their part in working towards acceptance without exception as an individual, as part of a community or as part of an organisation by donating, campaigning or participating.
Before Stonewall Louise held several senior fundraising positions across the third sector, including Head of Volunteer Board Fundraising at the NSPCC. Louise’s early career was in international corporate event planning.
Louise is a trustee of the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation, which deals with complex crimes including honour based violence, female genital mutilation and forced marriage.
Louise has been a champion for diversity and inclusion throughout her career, and is proud to be an LGBT role model.
