TURN THE TABLES ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Practical Action

Extreme weather events are destroying millions of livelihoods globally. Practical Action’s UK Aid Match campaign aimed to raise £1.15 million to help struggling communities in Sudan, and around the world, overcome the devastating effects of climate change. Lead marketing agency, Campfire Marketing, developed a core concept of ‘Turn the tables on climate change’, and used powerful personal testimonies and arresting imagery to bring the campaign together. This compelling appeal idea gave supporters and prospects the chance to empower vulnerable communities to reverse the adverse effects of climate change. Making water flow where there was none. Making crops grow where it was once impossible. Through a combination of direct mail communications to supporters and a wide range of cold acquisition activity, the campaign achieved its high target. As a result, thousands of people in poverty, in Sudan and around the world, will have the support and resources they need to thrive in the new climate reality. The campaign surpassed its target.
