Paul O’Grady is unquestionably helping transform the country into a nation of animal lovers thanks in no small part to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s immensely popular Bafta-nominated ITV series ‘Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs’ which first aired in 2012. Paul is truly committed to promoting rescue dogs and speaking out on the most pressing animal welfare issues, and Battersea and our animals are extremely lucky to have him as an Ambassador. His impact on our charity has been phenomenal, helping drive up donations, legacy pledges, and the rehoming of our animals – but more importantly by shining a spotlight on the vital work of rescue centres he’s helped transform the way people view them, encouraging a new generation of pet owners to consider rehoming the many animals that are in desperate need of a new home, rather than going online and fueling the trade in puppy farming. Paul has an extremely hands on approach as a Battersea Ambassador that we applaud and has been fundamental in helping our charity to communicate important campaign messages. He’s a champion for the underdog and would do anything to ensure all animals live a healthy and happy life.
