Career Connect would like to nominate Megan Jezzard for the Rising Star award. Megan has been working as a Coach with young people in St Helens for 3 years. Megan has shown exceptional skill and commitment to her work, delivering coaching and engagement in the two most challenging wards. Young people in these areas face multiple barriers to engagement such as deprivation, low confidence, exclusion from school, being a young carer / young parent. In a little over twelve months Megan has supported 9 vulnerable young people back into education, employment and training. Considering the barriers faced by these young people this is an impressive achievement and is thanks to Megan's commitment and tireless approach. Megan constantly goes above and beyond to develop innovative approaches to working with young people and is constantly ready to adapt delivery to maximise engagement. Megan is highly skilled at building relationships with clients and families. Her ability to engage partners, developing networks and shared approaches to problem solving is a real strength. She is always positive, creative, flexible and determined. She is a true asset to young people in St Helens and would be a worthy winner of this award for exceptional delivery.
