Back in 2017, The Board of Directors knew that they had to recruit someone who could make substantial change happen, revive a failing organisation and regain trust from it's members and funders. Lorraine immediately identifed that, with a small staff team and limited resources, the organisation had to focus on its best assets - the staff group. Lorraine outlined to the Board of Directors a plan that would see staff free from clocking in and out, bound by mundane policies and procedures, stifled by their job descriptions and parameters. Lorraine trusted them to fly! Lorraine has consistently worked with the staff team to become agile, flexible and outcome focused. SCSN is now a highly respected and well funded umbrella organisation, which is focused on ensuring the best for the entire staff group, its membership and our key partners such as the Scottish Government, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland and local authorities.
