Keech Hospice Care

Keech Hospice Care is an adult hospice for Luton and South Bedfordshire and the children’s hospice for Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Whilst their work has focused on creating and distributing content to raise awareness of Keech, their activities have exceeded expectations and helped generated funds.

The team has changed internal perceptions on the work of a communications team from a purely functional service provision to one that can create exciting opportunities. It has led the way in the hospice sector by being bolder and braver in its communications to compete in a challenging financial environment.

The team has executed many highly successful projects, including working closely with the Fundraising Team on an awareness campaign, which achieved a reach of 24M and raised £45,000.

Through creativity and coordination the team helped bring 3,500 people to Keech for its first ever hospice-based music festival; they helped secure the public vote winning London Luton Airport charity partnership; they generated an hour long programme on ITV featuring a new garden created by Alan Titchmarsh, and produced a film that went viral and gained national coverage as part of Dying Matters week.
