ADAM KAY

The Lullaby Trust

Adam Kay is a comedy writer, performer and best-selling, award-winning author and official Ambassador of The Lullaby Trust.

Adam's first two books, 'This is Going to Hurt' and 'Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas', revisit his former career as a junior doctor. His books are laugh-out-loud funny yet also heart breakingly sad as Adam shares his experience of working on the labour wards and his first-hand account of baby loss and bereavement.

Adam's insight into the vital importance of bereavement support resonates closely with the work of The Lullaby Trust and our services to support bereaved families whose baby has died of sudden infant death syndrome.

Adam has used his written work, live performances, profile and influence to raise both awareness and money for The Lullaby Trust. Adam has generously supported The Lullaby Trust throughout his sell-out theatre tour of 'This is Going to Hurt Live', raising over £150,000 in donations!

Most recently, Adam has offered a lifeline to the charity in light of COVID-19, with a share of profits from his new book, 'Dear NHS: 100 Stories to Say Thank You', going to The Lullaby Trust, bringing vital longer term income for the charity when we need it most.
